From our March 5th Work Party: correcting the erosion around the Synnott Pond dam required these wire cages (called gabion baskets) and stone... 18 tons to be precise!

After the stone was dropped off by a front-end loader, it had to be picked up by hand...

...until the stone reached its final destination.
